Scylla updates

Mmkay, so if you watch my account you’ve probably read of the ongoing saga of eating/not eating I’ve been going through with Scy most of this year. I was excited when she ate a little at the beginning of last month, but then she promptly went off of food again.

I wouldn’t have been too concerned except the last time I weighed her she’d lost around 10g, her little fat rolls vanished, and when you pick her up it’s like picking up a feather. Before she used to have some heft to her and you knew you were holding her, now it’s just…yeah.

So anyway, I went out today and picked up some reptaboost/reptaaid this afternoon and just now finished getting her to eat some. Scylla is such a good, calm, gecko that I didn’t even need to do anything more than put a little on her nose and she figured it out and would lick her lips or the syringe to get it. She managed to down around 1cc of it, and I could’ve made more but for not eating in a month I didn’t want to overdue it.

After that she got down on my laptop to be Techno-Gecko, which she hasn’t done in a while. I’m hoping this will get her appetite back so she’ll start eating her roaches again. It would also be nice if my grandma stopped saying Scy’s dying :\

Not very nice of her. And honestly, Scylla’s such a sweetie that if I had to feed her slurry for the rest of her life I’d do it (unless she was obviously in pain of course).

My family - not always on time

I love how no one went to get me anything for my birthday until like 1-2 days before and everything is online xD I don’t mind the wait (I got some of it in yesterday), but it was kind of like, ‘You were the guys who kept reminding me that it was at the end of the month - but you’re the ones that fell behind.’

But! I did get an order of books in yesterday and you can judge my interests pretty well based on them:

Where you’re trying to buy something off of someone and they’ll sit online and…ignore you. Someone tell me I’m not the only person who jumps on replying when someone offers me money? Even if it’s just to tell them, ‘Sorry, no thanks.’

Echo just can’t catch a break

I noticed last week her head/back were starting to go pale. It’s definitely time for a shed considering she’s doubled her weight since being here. Then a couple days ago her tail goes pale. Then yesterday halfway up each of her front legs is pale. I hadn’t noticed any shedding though, even when handling her this morning.

Well, I went to get her some lunch just now and she tries to look tough…and scales start flaking off her beard xD There was like no indication of her beard starting to shed until I noticed the bits hanging off it, but nowhere else is actually shedding yet - just pale.

No wonder she’s a grumpy girl, I would be too if almost all my skin was dry and icky. (Although I do have dry skin…I feel your pain Echo.)
